In April 2012, New York State implemented a new Statewide Financial System (SFS), replacing an outdated accounting system with a state-of-the-art financial information and management system. The Office of the State Comptroller is in the process of converting Open Book New York to display updated SFS data on State contracts.
Most active contract data previously available in Open Book New York is now current as of the above date. Because of the complexities involved in converting data, amendments that were approved prior to March 30, 2012 will show aggregated data as of that date and will not display detail about amendments before that date. Also, public authority contract data is limited while we continue conversion. Currently, the site includes data primarily for the Thruway Authority, the Canal Corporation, and the Long Island Power Authority.
